COURSE OVERVIEW
The ANSI-41 MAP is a mobile application standard that provides a means to perform mobility management including mobile qualification, intersystem handoff, voice services, short message service, and roaming. It is the standard used in CDMA networks. This ANSI-41 MAP Training course details the structure and call flow scenarios as defined in the various 3GPP2 standard. Also shown, is how the various network entities communicate with each other. Emphasis will be placed on SCCP, TCAP, and the MAP application with ANSI and ITU-T comparisons.
Exercises are provided throughout the course, reinforcing a practical understanding of the material. Each student will receive a workbook with supporting text and references.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this ANSI-41 MAP Training course, the participants will:
- The student will gain valuable knowledge of how mobile services are accomplished in today’s ANSI-41 networks. This includes how to analyze and decipher critical parameters within the SS7 protocol structure and the Mobile Application Part (MAP) application. You will also learn important call flow scenarios and how network entities communicate vital information in a mobile network.
CUSTOMIZE IT
- We can adapt this ANSI-41 MAP course to your group’s background and work requirements at little to no added cost.
- If you are familiar with some aspects of this ANSI-41 MAP course, we can omit or shorten their discussion.
- We can adjust the emphasis placed on the various topics or build the ANSI-41 MAP course around the mix of technologies of interest to you (including technologies other than those included in this outline).
- If your background is nontechnical, we can exclude the more technical topics, include the topics that may be of special interest to you (e.g., as a manager or policy-maker), and present the ANSI-41 MAP course in a manner understandable to lay audiences.
