COURSE OVERVIEW

This hands-on Diameter Protocol Training workshop provides an in-depth study of the 3GPP PCC functionality, the structure of the Diameter Base Protocol, and Diameter Applications to ensure a full understanding of the PCC and Diameter operation and implementation.

You will undertake a detailed study of all relevant protocols and how they work with rating and charging systems. You will examine procedures using structured scenarios, supported by message flow sequences. For a more complete understanding, we will also interpret Wireshark-captured message flow traces. Diameter Protocol Training course materials include a full glossary of terms, relevant protocol specifications (RFCs, etc.), and copies of Wireshark trace files to help you remember and retain the knowledge acquired in this workshop and apply it in your job

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

CUSTOMIZE IT
  • We can adapt this Diameter Protocol course to your group’s background and work requirements at little to no added cost.
  • If you are familiar with some aspects of this Diameter Protocol course, we can omit or shorten their discussion.
  • We can adjust the emphasis placed on the various topics or build the Diameter Protocol around the mix of technologies of interest to you (including technologies other than those included in this outline).
  • If your background is nontechnical, we can exclude the more technical topics, include the topics that may be of special interest to you (e.g., as a manager or policy-maker), and present the Diameter Protocol course in a manner understandable to lay audiences.
AUDIENCE/TARGET GROUP

The target audience for this Diameter Protocol course:

  • Those whose job requires knowledge of the next generation of Authentication, Authorization, and Accounting (AAA) protocols.
CLASS PREREQUISITES

The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this Diameter Protocol Training course are:

  • Prior knowledge of data communications and IP networks will be helpful but not required.
